Who we are? Read our Story
Through the vision of Father Konrad Lienhard from the Oblates de St. Francis de Sales, Germany and some Ghanaian sharing in his vision, the organisation was established to provide skills and education to marginalised and vulnerable non-schooling youngsters in street situations. The idea was established in 1997 under the umbrella of the Salesians of Don Bosco. We seek to act and work in the tradition of the spirituality of St Francis de Sales (1567-1612). In difference to an ordinary teacher, our staff members are asked to not only focus on the academic performance but consider an entire personal development of our entrusted children and youth – socially, morally, academically, culturally and religiously. To achieve this successfully, our caregivers and educators live and work alongside with our beneficiaries. They turn to them positively, consider their interests and take part in their actions. We also put effort to involve the entire families and reintegrate our entrusted wards step by step.
