A wonderful day at the Boti Falls

On Saturday, the 16th of March 2019, the beneficiaries and staff of WEM Centre embarked on an excursion to the Boti Falls in the Eastern Region. Together with some friends of the organisation and three of our German volunteers we started our trip early in the morning with a lot of positive energy.

We carried along a lot of delicious foods and drinks to enjoy our excursion in every possible way. After about 90 minutes’ drive, we arrived safely at the Boti Falls and started our tour with an introduction by a guide.

In order to see the beauty of Boti, we had a 45-minute walk ahead of us which was not easy because the path was hilly. By assisting each other, we were able to make it safely and enjoy all the breath-taking parts of Boti, such as “the Umbrella Rock” or “the Three-Headed Palm Tree”. After this long and exhausting hike, we visited the final part which is the actual “Boti Falls” and rested at this beautiful nature’s sight. The beneficiaries had a good time swimming, singing and dancing.

Such excursions are of major importance to the support for our beneficiaries because during such memorable days, they get to see what our organisation is all about and that the benefit of our children is our priority.

A big “thank you” to all who helped to organise this marvellous trip that will be remembered by all of us for a long time.
